"Help wanted" & "Missing Persons and Info"

I have received several e-mails asking if I know what happened to this person from school, of for help finding ancestors.  Usually the answer is "sorry, I just do not know"  then someone mentioned that maybe I could add a page just for such things.  As we have 300-400 visitors a month, maybe it will help others like myself trying to find lost memories.

Well here it goes, I will start to add such requests. Maybe other visitors could be of some help.

Hi everyone ----  My name is Edward Michael Long and I am a descendent of Ludwig and Susannah Long of Brookville, Pa. (sort of)!  My g. g. grandfather was Richard, my g. grandfather was Samuel, my grandfather was Michael, and my father was Edward Samuel Long. I was one of Ludwig's g.g.g. grandsons who took a DNA test to prove we were descended from Ludwig, and that is when I found out that I wasn't, because of Richard not being a natural son of Ludwig's. Do you or does anybody else know anything about Richard? Who his family was or how / why he got into Ludwig's family?

Ludwig and Susannah took the younger children and moved to Suffield Twp.,Portage Co.,Ohio in 1826 or 1828 and William went with them, but returned to Brookville about 20 months after they got to Ohio . The children were David and Richard & (Myriah and Joshua) The census of 1830 lists Ludwig (Lewis) as 56 Y., Susannah as 55 Y., David as 21 Y. , and Richard as 11 Y., Myriah and Joshua were not listed because they were Native Americans.

The 1840 census shows:  Ludwig (Lewis) as 66 Y., Susannah as 65 Y., David as 31 Y.,Margaret as 26 Y., (David's wife), Uriah as 7 Y.,  Lydia as 5 Y., William as 3 Y., (David's children) and Richard as 21 Y. Sometime later David moved his family to Peru, Miami Co. Ohio.
When David's grandson Thomas died, relatives from California were cleaning out his house when they discovered a photo of Richard and Myriah Dressed in Indian buckskins and another Indian man dressed in Indian buckskins. His name was Star.

Ancestor
Hello one and all.
  >I am doing genealogy on my mother's side of the family. Unfortunately
  >she passed away over 20 years ago and there is no one (that I know of)
  >left to ask questions on her family.
  >From scraps of paper I have found my grandparents names and that's
  >about it. My grandfather Arthur Schneider was born in 1882, German
  >background. I only have a piece of paper with PA on it. Have no idea
  >what that means. So, I'm trying to find a needle in a haystack with
  >his parents. I can find him in 1910 NY census and his family (my mother)
  >in 1930 NY census that states he was born in PA. The other census
  >state he was born in Germany. I'm totally confused! In a 1900 PA census
  >I found an Arthur Schneider born in 1884 with a Geo as a father.
  >My head is getting sore with all these brick walls.
  >Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't have any idea what area of PA to look in.
So, I think any area is a start.

Does anyone know anything about Rosalie Ann Webster from Munderf area?  Her maried name became Kelly.

I saw Kay once about 10 years ago, very
briefly, and keep hoping I'll get back to visit her again. Phyllis died a couple of years ago.

Rosalie Ann "Her name became Kelly when she was adopted by her grandparents." Kelly, is listed in the 1950 Munderf school class photo
