April 2 1934 The School Board met at the School House, all Directors and Teachers present except Ed Gilliagan. Sect was instructed to (unreadable, unreadable, unreadable) concerning tax bills for 1934 paid bills Time of next meeting was made April 30 1934 Sect was instructed to pay grade teachers at end of term. President & Sect. were instructed to confer with (unreadable, possible Suff) Hughes at to permit to conduct High School next year. By Motion of D.A.Stewart seconded by Dunmire that we close the Russell School and transport pupils to Richardsville, carried. April 30 1934 The Directors &Teachers met at the School House, all present. paid bills Motion was carried that we apply for permit to have High School next year By motion we insure in Beechwoods Mutual fire insurance Co. for $5,000 By motion E.A.VanNorman was directed to register school children. By motion we add 5 or 6 feet to chimney of school house. By motion we leave Russell School Building for Community Bldg & and use it for bus station.

May 31 1934 Directors met at the school house And by motion approved canceling the motion of leaving the Russell School House for a Community bldg. paid bills After (unreadable) a motion prevailed that we adopt the the actual expenditures of school year 1934&34 for (unreadable) for 1935-5 By unanimous vote the tax for 1934 & 35 was set at 5 mills property tax and $2.50 per capita tax. By motion we advertise for bids for cleaning, coal & kindling, Transportation Smith and Russell Schools. adjourned we meet about June 25 R.B.Dunmire Sect.

Dowie Work Books for primary grades full set of (unreadable) & story Readers, Bringhoun? & McFarland Geog - Hallick Histories. By motion we pay all bills including book bill of $125.19 with American Books - (unreadable, unreadable, unreadable) Sect. was directed to see H.S.Heeter as to kindling bid. By motion the following bids were accepted - coal Walter Bedell, 8 cents per bu, cleaning - Lloyd McCracken $9.75, Hauling Smith School (unreadable) R. Aug 9 1934 The School Board met in called meeting Sect. read the annual report, all bills were ordered paid after reading. Fred Heeter bid of $4.00 per cord of kindling was accepted. By motion we adopted (unreadable) - Hughes (unreadable) for school year beginning Sept 4 1934 By motion we transport pupils to Brookville - The President and Pearsall were were appointed a commission to (unreadable) for transportation. Adjourned we meet Aug 31 1934 R.B.D.
Aug 13 1934 All members of school board met at school house. After the commission on transportation of High School pupils reported. A motion prevailed unanimously to transport all High School pupils to Brookville, and a contract was given to Paul Luther for transportation at 1.45 per pupil, but not less than twenty $20.00 dollars per month By motion we sell Russell black board to East Warsaw at 50 per cent of new provided they pay tuition bill, carried unanimously. adjourned R.B.Dunmire Sect.

Sept 24 1934 The School Board met at the school house, all members present. paid bills By motion a (unreadable) of forty dollars ($40.00) was (unreadable) the stove at Russell School. adjourned R.B.Dunmire Sect.
Nov 5 1934 The school board met in regular session at the school house, all present but Gilligan. Received a check from East Warsaw for $20.80 for 104 sq feet of blackboard at 80 cents a foot. Miss Vera Fost got 13 High School books Board (unreadable, unreadable) get paid seven ($7.00) dollars, after reading all the bills, paid. By motion teachers were authorized to buy needed (unreadable & unreadable) at institute. adjourned we meet Dec 3 1934 R.B.Dunmire Sect.
