Feb 10 1941 Board met at the School House, all members present Motion carried to see if we can compromise with Pincreek on tuition. Rhines and McCracken to meet with Pincreek Board. Motion carried to see if we can't get teachers to finish term. Motion carried that we pay teachers and haulers at end of each months work. adj. Paul M.Rhines Sec.
March 10 1941 Board met at the School House, all members present Motion by Rhines and seconded by McCracken that we pay Pinecreek tuition on the table for the present, motion lost. Motion by Pearsall and seconded by Beatty that we pay the bills as soon as money enough over and above the teachers and haulers, motion carried. The vote for the motion was Beatty, Pearsall, Gilligan against it, Rhines and McCracken. Motion by McCracken that anyone doing business with the Board, either in person or otherwise must be duly appointed a committee to transact that particular business by vote of the Board and vote recorded in the minutes. Seconded by Pearsall. carried unanimously paid all currect bills to date adj Paul M.Rhines Sec.
April 7 1941 Board met at the School House, all members present except McCracken motion carried that we pay all current bills to date. Sect instructed to advertise for bids for the following in both papers. Cleaning School Houses, Furnishing coal, and transportation of students on both buss routes. Bids to be opened May 19 1941 Paul M.Rhines Sec.
May 19 1941 Board met at the School House, all members present Bids were opened and awarded as follows. Coal - Roy McCracken at 12 cents pr bu. Cleaning school house and grounds to Radakers for $15.00 Hauling for the Pekin Route to Paul Luther for $160.00 per month The Jimtown route was held over as we recieved no bids Hiring teacher for primary room was discussed, and a motion to hire Miss Oaks was made by McCracken and seconded by Rhines, which was turned down by the rest of the Board. adj. June 24 1941 Board met at the School House, all members present Motion carried unanimously that we give Ellsworth Shaffer the hauling for hauling Jimtown children at $55.00 per month Unanimous vote on final adoption of budget adj to meet July 3 to hire teacher. Paul M.Rhines Sec.
Aug 8 1941 Board met and hired Mrs. Harvey to teach another providing she drive her own car for a couple month so Geist will have no excuse for not getting there on time Paul M.Rhines
Sept 15 1941 Board met at the School House, all members present except McCracken motion carried we pay all bills to date Moved and Seconded we pay our teachers $100.00 per month till the time the $1,000.00 is paid. Motion carried that we notify Giest to be at school house at 8:00 oclock in the morning and stay in the evening till all children are on the bus. Paul M.Rhines
