Motion by McCracken and seconded by Rhines that we hire Annabell Oaks for next year, motion unanimous.

Jan 24 1942 Board met in special meeting, all present 

to hire substitute teacher for Mrs. Harvey's school.  Mrs. Sprague Wingard was unanimously elected to finish the present school term, to start Feb 11 1942

Feb 23 1942 Board met at the School House, Gilligan, Beatty & Rhines present

The matter of Mrs. Wingard's work books and (????ograph) was taken up and it was agreed that it should be ordered.  Mr. Guist took charge of the ordering.

Mrs. Wingard asked that more black board be put up, and Mr. Guist agreed to put it up and at no cost to the school.  He was also instructed to get nails, spikes and two pains of glass at Brookville Hardware Co.

The mater of taking out partitions and throwing the two extra rooms together for an auditorium was brought up and favorably discussed and left for further discussion and action at next regular meeting.

Matter of the last two weeks of school was discussed and left for final settlement latter.

Sect to order 100 bu. of coal and see Harry Radaker about two cords of kindling wood.

Moved by McCracken, seconded by Pearsall that we see what we can do in a week to get teacher to replace Guist who has asked for a year's ( hard to read, maybe SSab?at?eal ) leave.  Motion unanimous that we give Devere Boyer & (unreadable) work job of cleaning and washing down the two rooms for $30.00, motion carried

Motion carried that Sec. get 40 feet of rope for flag pole & hinge for toilet, also dust pan and broom.

McCracken to make window stick for Miss Oaks

Voter on Roy McCracken's proposition to put airplane lookout post in school. in favor of it McCracken, against Pearsall, Gilligan and Rhines.

Motion the the School House Board to give 30.00 for bus stop to be loaned as airplane lookout while needed, then returen to township.

Sec. to get written notice from land owner when said building is not needed for said purpose it can be removed by school board at their discretion.  Vote unanimously
