Jan 1 1943 Board met at School house, all present but Gilligan Motion carried that we give Ellsworth Shaffer release from hauling kids to go to Army. Motion carried unanimously that we give George Hidinger contract for finishing hauling and all of next year at $60.00 per month motion carried to pay all bills to date. adj. Paul M.Rhines Sec.
Feb 25 1943 Board met at School house, Pearsall, McCracken and Rhines present motion carried we pay all bills to date Motion carried that we charge $6.00 per month for Corbett child from Jim town. Sec. instructed to write Polk township Sec. about it. adj. Paul M.Rhines Sec.
May 3 1943 Board met at School house, all present but Gilligan Motion carried we pay all bills to date adj. Paul M.Rhines Sec.
June 7 1943 Board met in regular meeting Motion to pay all bills to date, which include Bal of Brookville tuition, tax cards and 1/2 yrs Sec. salary. Vote on Budget unanimous, millage set at 9 mills and $2.50 per capita. McCracken to repair furnace and present bill., Sec instructed to get material at Hardware ad. Paul M.Rhines Sec.
Aug 3 1943 Board met, only three present so we adjourned. at call of President Paul M.Rhines Sec.
Aug 12 1943 Board met at School house, all present but Gilligan motion carried that we give Radaker contract to put in two cords of kindling @ $5.00 per cord Motion carried that we give Allen Radaker contract for cleaning of school house for $22.00 per month Motion carried that we hire Mrs. Plyler as substitute teacher for the upper grades to fill in who Mr Ruffner was called to the Army Motion carried that we give Mrs. Sprauge Wingard job of enumerating of children for the coming school term.. coal bid left open till next meting Mr. Sairs was given order for school supplies. adj. Aug 23 1943 Board met at School house, all present but Gilligan Motion carried (unreadable) Supply $10.00 per month for transporting of teacher. Motion carried to accept Rhines resignation from Board also as Sec. Motion carried that we hire Alice Horner for Secretary. Motion carried that we pay all bills to date, which are Allen Radaker $22.00 for cleaning school house, Sec. salary it being in full $9.00 and Blakes Hardware $1.10 for furnace cement. Sept 27 1943 School Board Meeting of West Warsaw Board of Directors was held in Richardsville School House. Directors present were J.P. McCracken V. Pres, Harold Beatty & L.G.Pearsall. Motion made by Beatty, seconded by Pearsall, carried unanimously to elect Mrs. Paul Luther as sety. of board in place of Alice A. Horner who had resigned. Motion made and seconded & carried that secretary to re-write in the minutes of the motion of previous meeting, Aug 12 1943 in regard to electing Mrs. Plyler as substitute teacher, which had been unanimous. Notion made to pay all bills to date. Motion made by Beatty, seconded by Pearsall and carried to pay Paul Luther $15.00 for first month of school transportation to school one way. Secretary instructed to notify all members of next school meeting to be held in School House Nov 1st 1943 at 8:00 O'clock adj. Mrs. Paul Luther Sety.
Nov 1st 1943 The Board of School Directors met in regular meeting in the Richardsville School House, Directors present, J.P.McCracken V. Pres., L.G.Pearsall and Harry Long who was appointed to finish Paul Rhin's (unreadable) term. Motion made, seconded by Long and carried to table the (hard to read ( Ginn Co. ?) bill until next meeting. Sect. was instructed to get three work books for Miss. Oaks; also to see what the Reading Helper would cost Sect instructed not to pay more than $5 to $6 for same Reading Helper. Motion made by Pearsall, seconded by McCracken to instruct M. Long to get 150 feet of lumber to replace shield for boy's toilet. Motion made by Pearsall, seconded by Long that all regular bills to be paid. adjourn Mrs. Paul Luther Sect.
Dec 6 1943 The Board of School Directors of West Warsaw Township met in regular business meeting at 8:00 P.M. Directors present, J.P.McCracken, L.G.Pearsall and Harold Beatty. Sect was instructed to order paper towels from M.M.Sain, Summerville. adjourned A special meeting was also called Dec 1 1943 for the purpose of organizing the Board of Directors for one year, and giving the oath of office to two directors, Harold E. Beatty, re-elected and William Brownlee appointed to take J.E.Gilligan's place. Meeting was called to order by J.P.McCracken as temporary chair-man Mr. Brownlee and Mr. Beatty were duly sworn into their office. Motion made by Pearsall, seconded by McCracken and caried that Harold Beatty be President. Motion made by Brownlee, seconded by Beatty and carried that J.P.McCracken be Vice. Pres.
