Jan 10 1944 The school meeting of Jan 3, 1944 was called off due to weather, and the school board of West Warsaw met Jan 10, 1944 at 8 O'clock P.M. with all members present.

Acheck for $43.58 from the Co. Treasurer from tax sale was given to secretary with instructions to deposit same in the bank, in the account of West Warsaw School Board.

A motion was made by Pearsall, seconded by Long that all bills be paid, motion carried

April 3 1944 West Warsaw School Board held the regular business Meeting in the School House at 8 O'clock P.M.

The Board consisting of five members, L.G. Pearsall, Harold Beatty, J.P. McCracken, Harry Long & Wm Brownlee present.

May 1st 1944 West Warsaw School Board held the regular business Meeting in the School House at 8 O'clock P.M., all members present but Harry Long

A motion was made by McCracken, and passed unanimously to give the lower hauling job of hauling Russell school children and High School pupils to Harold Deemer, and to draw up a contract for (3) three years at $175.00 per month.

A motion was made by McCracken and seconded by Brownlee to dispose of the air spotting post and the school board to be re-paid. pass unanimously

The secretary received of Roy McCracken $19.00 (nineteen dollars) a check, amount in full the school board had in airplane spotting post.

A motion was made by J.P.McCracken and seconded by Wm. Brownlee, and passed by hand that Mrs. Paul Luther be retained as secretary another year.

A motion was made by McCracken and seconded by Pearsall to pay Harold Deemer 60 cents an hour for doing necessary painting and repairing on school house, and repairing furnace.

June 5 1944 West Warsaw School Board held the regular business Meeting in the School House at 9 O'clock P.M. for the regular monthly meeting, all members present but L.G.Pearsall

Motion made by J.P.McCracken and seconded by Mr. Brownlee to authorize secretary to write checks to pay teachers through-out Summer, and send same to teachers. passed

June 30 1944 West Warsaw School Board held the regular business Meeting in the School House at 9 O'clock P.M. for business meeting, members present  J.P.McCracken, Wm. Brownlee and Harold Beatty. 

A motion made and carried to order supplies from Spirit Publishing Co.

July 20 1944 West Warsaw School Board met in special Meeting  to elect teacher for the grades 5-8 for the coming term, all present.

A motion was made by L.G. Pearsall, and seconded by J.P. McCracken to hire Mrs. Larimer as teacher.  All voted in favor of Mrs. Larimer, Sect was instructed to notify her.

A motion was made by J.P. McCracken and seconded by Mr. Deemer order the repair parts for furnace and get (hard to read, Primity?) ratting from (unreadable) for same. all voted in favor

Estimated budget for coming year read, and approved by hand.

Per capita was left at $2.50, but school millage was raised from 9 mills to 11 mills.

Motion made by Pearsall, seconded by McCracken to have Sect enumerate children.

Aug 7 1944 School Board of West Warsaw Twp. met in Richardsville School House for regular meeting at 8 Oclock P.M., all members present.

paid all regular bills

A motion made by J.P.McCracken and seconded by Mr. Long to order a new reading system for the first grade, motion carried.

Bids for hauling Smith School children were opened

George Hidinger's bid of $100.00 per month

Chas. Shofstahl's bid was also for $100.00 per month

The two bidders were agreed that the matter would be settled by drawing cuts, and Chas. Shofstahl drew the deciding cut, contracts were drawn up and signed by the school house and Mr. Chas. Shofstahl for three years.

Aug 28 1944 Aspecial Meting of the West Warsaw School boar met at Richardsville School House at 0:00 P.M. in reguard to the matter of the State objecting to the contract between Chas. Shofstahl and the school board for hauling the Smith School students- this year's price being $100.00 per month and last year being $60.00 per month.  All members of the board present also Chas. Shofstahl was present.  Chas. Shofstahl was not willing to lower his price so a motion was made by J.P.McCracken and seconded by L.G.Pearsall that the sect. would mail an explanatory letter to the State, a copy of which is attached to the minuts, all voted in favor of this motion.  Chas. Shofstahl was instructed to haul the pupils until further developments.

Oct 2 1944 School Board of West Warsaw Twp. met in Richardsville School House for regular meeting at 8;30 P.M., all members present.

A motion was made and seconded to raise the fire insurance from $5,000 to $6,000 with instructions for the Secretary to send application to Mr. R.A. Smith at once.

Paid all regular bills

A motion was made by McCracken and seconded by Pearsall the the Sect. should attend institute, motion carried.

A motion was made and seconded, carried to pay secretary $5.00 in addition to the $5.00 for census of school children to pay for trips made in her duties as attendance officer.

Nov 7 1944 School Board of West Warsaw Twp. met in Richardsville School House for regular meeting at 8;30 P.M., all members present but Pearsall.

paid all bills

Chas. Shofstahl was present and handed in his resignation as driver of the upper route.  A motion was made by J.P. McCracken and seconded by Harry Long to accept his resignation, motion carried.

George Hidinger was present and offered to take the route for the same price as Mr. Shofstahl received.  A motion was made by Wm. Brownlee and seconded by J.P.McCracken to hire Mr. George Hidinger to drive the school bus for the remainder of the school year at the same price the Mr. Shofstahl received., motion carried

Dec 30 1944 School Board of West Warsaw Twp. met for the Dec. meeting which three members were present, Harold Beatty, L.G.Pearsall and J.P.McCracken.

The board proceeded to re-organize

Harold Beatty was duly elected to serve as President of the Board for the next year.
