Jan 6 1947 The West Warsaw School Board met for it's regular meeting in the
Richardsville School house on Monday evening at 8:00 P.M. The members
present - L.G. Pearsall, Wm. Brownlee, Harold Beatty and J.P. McCracken.
It was moved by Pearsall and seconded by Purl McCracken to pay all current
bills, motion carried.
Harold Deemer was driver of the lower route was present. He has asked
to be relieved of his contract for the reason, saying, he was not working enough
to justify him hauling the school students. As there were several men
apparently interested in the job, it was moved and carried that the job of
transporting the Russell School, Smith School, and H.S. Pupils be put up for bid
in the current weekly paper. The motion was made by Brownlee and seconded
by J.P. McCracken, the Sect. was so instructed.

Jan 7 1947 The bids were not put in the paper the week of Jan 6th, as the President and Secretary
called on Superintendent Hughes who advised us seeking the advice of our solicitor,
Raymond & Brown. Mr. Brown advised us to wait until he could talk with
Mr. Deemer.

Feb 3 1947 The regular monthly school meting was held of the West Warsaw District was
held at the Richardsville School house, all members present.
all regular bills were paid
Sanford Radaker presented a bill for 4 cords of kindling wood at $4.00 per
cord, the bill was paid
J.P. McCracken was instructed to hunt a furnace and purchase the same for
examination room to be used by the Co. nurse., motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Pearsall and seconded by Mr. McCracken to have
Brownlee and Long purchase tar paper and a bucket of tar and repair the school
roof.
A motion was made by Mr. Wm. McCracken and seconded by Mr. Long to have Mr.
Beatty to fix the furnace chain on damper, and put new glass and screen over the
window in the girl's toilet.
A motion was made by McCracken and seconded by Pearsall to permit Mr. Ruffner
to buy a coat rack.
Mr. Deemer, bus driver, was presented the meting and, not being satisfied wit
his (very hard to read this word, maybe (remuneration)) would like to cancel his
contract. A motion was made by Pearsall, seconded by Brownlee that the
hauling job be put up for bid - Notices to be put both Brookville papers, and
bills to be posted along the route. The bids run for one week and to be
opened Feb 10 at 8:00 P.M. motion carried.
Mr. McCracken wrote the following notice to be posted and inserted in the
Brookville papers. This notice was approved by the board.
Bids wanted for hauling School
children for West Warsaw School District, beginning as soon as possible, and
continuing for the rest of this term, and the next two years, Bus can be
purchased from Mr. Harold Deemer, for particulars call Mrs. Paul Luther, Sec.
Phone # 3115R24. Board reserves the right to reject any of all bids,
Bids to be opened at 8:00 P.M. Feb 10th.

Feb 10 1947 The School Board of the West Warsaw District met at special meeting at 8:00
P.M. to open bides for the bus route operated by Harold Deemer, which takes in
hauling grade and H.S. Pupils to Richardsville & Brookville.
Bids were opened as follows:
Lonis Craven $210.00 per month (spelling may not be right on first name, hard
to read)
George Raybuck $202.00 per month
Guy Pearsall $199.00 per month
and Owen Brownlee $195.00 per month
The bid was given to Owen Brownlee by unanimous vote, which consisted of L.G.
Pearsall, J.P. McCracken, and Harold Beatty.

April 7 1947 The regular monthly school meeting was held of the West Warsaw District was
held at the Richardsville School house, members present, L.G. Pearsall,
J.P. McCracken and Harold Beatty,
paid all regular bills

May 5 1947 The regular monthly school meeting was held of the West Warsaw District was
held at the Richardsville School house, members present, L.G. Pearsall,
J.P. McCracken, Harold Beatty, and Wm. Brownlee. E.J. Shaffer tax
collector was present and made a final, and satisfactory settlement for the year
1946 tax (unreadable).

Estimated budget for 1947-48 term was adopted, motion carried
A resolution adopted by the board to appear in the official minutes is as
follows:
Where-as E.J. Shaffer having duly accounted for and paid over
and all taxes, penalties and interest received and collected and collected on
the 1946 tax duplicate, and further having made returns of all said un-collected
real estate taxes in accordance with the law, and having complied with the law
as to said un-collected per capita taxes, if any an certified same for
examination, which examination have been granted; Now therefore , be resolved
that E.J. Shaffer tax collector of West Warsaw twp. Jefferson Co. Pa. is
duly granted full and final settlement on his 1946 tax duplicate. Mrs.
Paul Luther Sect.
This resolution was was adopted by J,P, McCracken moving such
adoption and seconded by L.G. Pearsall, motion carried
adjourned Mrs. Paul Luther Sect.

June 2 1947 The regular monthly school meeting was held of the West Warsaw District was
held at the Richardsville School house, at 8:00 P.M.
Regular bills were paid and tentative plans for repair of the building, Moved
and seconded that we put brick siding paper on the back of the building and
repair toilets and ceiling in the rooms and repair roof.

July 7 1947 The regular monthly school meeting was held of the West Warsaw District was
held at the Richardsville School house at 3:00 P.M. after the auditor's meeting
with Beatty and Pearsall & Brownlee present.
By motion the Sect. shall enumerate the school children as soon as possible.

July 21 1947 A special meeting was held of the West Warsaw District was held at the
Richardsville School house, members present, Pearsall, McCracken and Beatty.
A motion was made by Pearsall, seconded by McCracken to accept the coal bid
submitted by C.W. Spindler to furnish 500 bu. of mine (unreadable, maybe
"run" ) coal at 23 cents per bushel. motion carried
Moved by McCracken, seconded by Pearsall to move the bus station from Munderf
end of route to West edge of Brownlee farm. motion carried
Moved by Pearsall, seconded by McCracken to repair the School house with
shingles by the bundle. motion carried

Aug 25 1947 A special meeting was held of the West Warsaw District Monday evening due to
the fact no meeting was to be held in Sept. at the Richardsville School house,
members present, Pearsall, McCracken and Beatty.

A motion was made by McCracken, seconded by Brownlee to elect Mr. Ruffner to
teach in place of Miss. Oaks, who asked to be released from her contract. said
offer to be opened this week., motion carried
