The back of the photo is very hard to read, the name most readable is Tom Evans, lower right, he was born in 1899 and attended the Smith School. I only hope someone has better identification for this group.

Cecil Plotner's team and bus. Polk Township Consolidated Schools, Munderf Pa.

The first Consolidated School in Jefferson County in which al the pupils of the district were housed was in Polk Township. This Consolidated School was in Munderf, was dedicated in 1922. Two elementary rooms were housed in this building at time of photo.

I hope someone comes up with a picture of Ellis "Jerry" Dixon's mule-drawn bus. It was much longer than Cecil Plotner's, and in the winter, he used to have a kerosene stove in it.

I don't remember Cecil Plotner's bus - must have been before my time, but in that one picture, I knew everyone except the 2 boys. Dorothy Beck in that picture has been Mrs. Bob Armstrong for many years.

A bit of trivia about the name "Heilbrun" - it is the same word in the
German Bible that is translated in the King James version as "well of 
salvation."

Dan, I just came across the pictures of schools and want to make a correction on
the 1950 picture of the Munderf School. In the front middle, the slightly chubby
girl's name was not Rosalin, but Rosalie Ann. I remember very well my very 
first day of school there, when my class were all called up to sit in the circle
of little green wooden chairs for my first reading class. We all had to tell our
names, and I thought "Rosalie Ann" was the prettiest name I had ever heard!
I went home and insisted to my family that it was all one word, "Rosalieann".
My best friends were Rosalie, and Phyllis Mortimer,and later Kay Webster. Does anyone
know anything about Rosalie Ann Webster? I saw Kay once about 10 years ago, very
briefly, and keep hoping I'll get back to visit her again. Phyllis died a couple
of years ago.

Thanks for doing a good job, Dan. I'm going to try to make it to next year's
reunion, as I expect to be back in PA and Michigan seeing family.
