Emily Reicharter (I believe it is misspelled in the book), she was one of Paul Campbell's teachers, also I believe Leora (Harriff) had her as a teacher - she was Mrs. Pfaff then, and I think she was still teaching in the senior high when I was a freshman.  Paul (and probably all his classmates) called her "Miss Racketer" - probably a common (mis)pronunciation of her name. – submitted by Doris Harriff
